Overview

Small businesses play a vital role in Western Australia’s economy and local communities. With more than 247,000 small businesses (those with fewer than 20 employees) contributing over $50 billion of economic activity each year, their impact is substantial.

The WA Government is recognising this contribution through a $1 million investment in the Small Business Growth Grants program in 2025. The Small Business Growth Grants will provide matched funding towards business growth investments for eligible businesses that have been established for 18 months or longer. Vouchers of up to $10,000 can be applied to a range of specialist services including:

  • Strategic business planning
  • Workforce development and planning
  • People management
  • Marketing and communication planning
  • Digital marketing
  • Market research
  • Financial planning and performance
  • Procurement
  • Organisational governance
  • Work Health and Safety
  • Business improvement and innovation
  • Supply chain management and planning
  • Records and document management
  • Information and Communication Technology management

The program is proudly delivered by the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC). The SBDC provides support, advice and skills development to small businesses throughout Western Australia on behalf of the State Government.

Applications are now open until 5:00pm, Friday 3 October 2025.
