How to Start a Food Business
10am to 12pm, Friday 8 May
This workshop provides practical guidance to anyone who is considering starting a food-based business - whether it's a simple market stall, a mobile food van or a commercial café/restaurant.
Key topics covered include regulations and licences required to start your business and how to comply with health and safety standards and local legislation. You will also be taken through how to work out the cost of setting up and running and how to conduct market research to test your business ideas.
Create your Social Media Strategy
12:30pm to 5pm, Tuesday 26 May
A robust social media presence is essential for small businesses looking to increase their brand visibility and expand their market share. Developing a well crafted social media strategy will help to streamline the process and ensure you stay relevant in a crowded marketplace.
In this workshop, you will go beyond the basics and deep dive into social media management, gaining insights into their latest social media trends, learning how to select the right social platforms and creating compelling content to capture your audience's attention. You will also learn how to use tools and analytics, establish a posting schedule and set up calendars for social media management.
During this workshop, you will be using a variety of social media platforms and Canva.
Managing your Cashflow

They say ‘cash is king’, and if you run a business you will understand this saying.
This interactive session provides a practical explanation of cash flow management and planning. You will also learn about the methods and software available to help you manage your cash flow and a range of other important issues related to managing your finances.
