Digital transformation can feel overwhelming, particularly when small business owners are already juggling so much.

In collaboration with the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification (DEED), the SBDC is seeking stories from businesses that have successfully adopted digital technology to inspire others.

It seems that every day, there is a new digital solution that promises to transform your business coming onto the market. From automation software, to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems; cloud platforms to ecommerce - the range of digital solutions on the market has made it difficult to choose where to start when it comes to implementing them in your business.

Why embrace digital transformation?

Research from the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade reveals that highly digitally engaged businesses earn 60 per cent more revenue per employee and grow 28 per cent faster than businesses with poor digital engagement [1]. Embracing digital transformation can not only help businesses to increase productivity, competitiveness and resilience: it’s great for the bottom line.

What is the WA Government’s involvement?

To achieve the vision of a thriving business community that is digitally secure, enabled and empowered, the two key WA Government departments who work to empower the state’s businesses – the SBDC and DEED – are collaborating to find stories of WA small businesses that have successfully adopted digital technology. We will then share the case studies with other members of the WA business community to inspire them to digitally evolve.

How can you participate?

If you made your business more digital lately, for example: started selling online, upgraded your payment system, or found a smarter way to manage assets - we’d love to hear from you.

The first step is to complete our short survey about the digital technology you have implemented how it has benefited your business. A selection of the case studies will be featured on the SBDC website to inspire other small businesses to take their own digital leap.

Simply tale a few minutes to complete the survey and be willing to share your story. Be a part of showcasing how going digital is helping WA businesses grow!
