Overview

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) operating environment is evolving and upcoming changes to the framework are increasing the emphasis on practice quality, participant experience and how providers demonstrate accountability through everyday decision making and operations.

This workshop focuses on building your business capability in response to recent NDIS reforms, rather than reacting to regulatory change. You will learn how a practical, systems based approach to examining participant experience, frontline and leadership decision making, and organisational learning influence service quality and business performance.

You will be introduced to practice reviews as a practical, continuous improvement tool to identify opportunities for improvement, embed learning and strengthen service delivery over time.

As expectations across the NDIS continue to rise, providers that invest early in practice quality, decision making systems and workforce confidence will be in a better position to operate effectively and sustainably, particularly in a market where many providers continue to operate at a minimum compliance level.

Main topics covered

  • The practice foundations needed to support sustainable operations under the evolving NDIS framework.
  • How recent NDIS reforms are shifting expectations from compliance-led activity to practice quality and organisational accountability.
  • The differences between practice reviews, audits, incident reviews and investigations, and how practice reviews support service improvement.
  • Why decisions are made at frontline and leadership levels and how organisational systems support or undermine good practice.
  • Practical ways to strengthen consistency of practice, workforce confidence and decision making, organisational resilience beyond minimum compliance.
